I had a anti-virus software that apparently thought Gshade was unsafe. I hadn't realized this at first but once I did and disabled it, it finally worked.As of now (6:20 PM EST on 2/6), the guide recommends uninstalling GShade as the last step. I can tell by the fact that you have files both with and without "_settings" in their name. The ones with "_settings" are made for the older version of reshade.
